Hello there!

I'm Daniela, Danish learner turned Danish teacher.

My journey with the Danish language started way back in 2003 at the Charles University in Prague. As a student pursuing my M.A. in Danish and Dutch Language and Literature, I found myself initially floundering - I remember a time when, after a year of studying, I went to a Danish 'højskole' and understood so very little!

I kept fighting. And I eventually got from struggling to make sense of casual conversation to flirting in Danish in a noisy bar and handling calls to 'Skat' from the passenger seat - talk about a transformation!

Sure, there are still moments when I have to ask my Danish husband to repeat himself three times, but that is so very danish!

I would tell you more about myself, but I will keep it as an exercise for you in our lessons. Nothing is off limits if you create a comprehensible question in Danish :)
